Background
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is committed to enhancing the quality of higher education and producing globally competitive graduates. To achieve this goal, USU has introduced the Double-Degree and Joint-Degree Programs. These programs are designed to expand students' global perspectives, enrich their international learning experiences, and strengthen collaborations with overseas academic institutions. The USU's Double-Degree and Joint-Degree initiatives are conducted under Regulation No. 14 of 2014 by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education on University Collaborations. These programs allow students to earn two degrees—one from USU and another from a partner international institution—which enhances their competitiveness in the global job market.
