Alumni Gathering

As a higher education institution transforming into a world-class university, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) recognizes the importance of engaging its alumni in achieving this goal. USU actively organizes "Alumni Mobilization through Program-Level Gatherings," which aims to strengthen connections and foster collaboration among graduates. This program enhances key indicators of a World Class University, particularly Employer Reputation, by providing direct evidence of educational quality and alumni success in the workforce. Successful alumni attending these gatherings can recommend graduates to employers, demonstrate strong industry networks and professional relationships, and validate USU's effectiveness in preparing competent graduates to contribute to the workforce. This initiative positively impacts employer perceptions, supporting USU's image as an institution that produces high-quality graduates. A SWOT analysis has identified the need for an S-O Strategy (Development of an Alumni Information System and Alumni Engagement Activities). Alumni are crucial in improving academic services, networking, and graduate quality. Therefore, a strategic approach to alumni database development and mobilization efforts is essential. Alumni with recognized professional competencies will be mobilized to enhance graduate quality and reputation in the job market. Specifically, this activity aims to boost USU's Employer Reputation, a vital component in achieving its World Class University vision.
