Background
To support Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) in becoming a leading, high-quality university and achieving its World-Class University vision, USU has implemented an educational collaboration program by inviting Guest Lecturers from international institutions. This initiative aligns with one of the key indicators in the QS World University Ranking (QS-WUR), specifically the "International Staff Ratio," which contributes 5% to the overall university ranking score. The Guest Lecture Program significantly enhances student knowledge and produces high-quality graduates with global insights and motivation. In line with the Tridharma of Higher Education, collaboration with international lecturers extends beyond teaching to include research and community engagement.

Program Objectives
The USU Guest Lecture Program is designed to facilitate educational and research collaborations between USU faculty members and international partner lecturers, creating an academic environment that supports the achievement of the international staff ratio, serve as a catalyst for academic progress through lectures, discussions, and interactive communication with invited lecturers and foster long-term collaborations between USU faculty members, students, and international lecturers, leading to joint research projects, student exchange programs, and other academic initiatives.
