Audience of PT PLN Indonesia Power Pangkalan Susu planned to be USU's partner in MBKM

PT PLN Indonesia Power Pangkalan Susu PGU visited the Universitas Sumatera Utara on Friday, March 31, 2023. It is located in the rector's audience room of the Central Bureau of Administration building. The visit was attended by the Administrative Manager of PT PLN (Persero) PLTU Pangkalan Susu, Mr. Evendi Saragih, Legal PLN IP PLTU, Mr. Tri Reza, and Public Relations PLTU Pangkalan Susu, Mr. Muhammad Budi Setiawan.

The audience was welcomed by USU Vice Rector 3, Prof. Dr. apt Poppy A.Z. Hasibuan, M.Si., USU Global Partnership Manager, Dean and Vice Dean 3 of the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Development Economics, Vice Dean of FMIPA, and Head of the Bureau of Research, Student Creativity, and Cooperation.

 

The purpose of this audience is to establish cooperation from both parties. So far, Pangkalan Susu PLTU is the largest supplier in North Sumatra. The Administration Manager of PT PLN Indonesia Power Pangkalan Susu, Mr. Evendi Saragih, offered cooperation by sharing knowledge.

 

In addition, both parties also plan to cooperate in the MBKM partner program so that USU students can get the opportunity to do internships at PT PLN (Persero) Pembangkit dan Transmisi Sumatera Bagian Utara (PGU) Pangkalan Susu. This is based on the readiness of PT PLN Indonesia to provide learning facilities and infrastructure for students for internships.

 

Vice-Rector 3 hopes that this internship program can be followed by many students at USU, and PLN Indonesia hopes that USU can provide opportunities for its employees to continue their studies. Universitas Sumatera Utara provides opportunities for PT PLN (Persero) staff who want to continue their studies at the Faculty of Vocational Studies.
