The Indonesian Waqf Board (BWI) is an independent institution engaged in managing and supervising waqf in Indonesia. On Thursday, March 16, 2023, BWI conducted an audience with Universitas Sumatera Utara in the Administration Center Bureau room. The Secretary of the USU Office of Internationalization and Global Administration attended the meeting, Arief Nuryawan, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D. From the BWI side, it was represented by a Husoli Waka Indonesia Board member, Dr. Agus Priyanto, M.Pd., and three other colleagues.

BWI's visit to USU was to establish cooperation in the "Waqf Goes to Campus 13th series" held on May 15-16, hoping that USU will host the event on May 16 at the USU Auditorium.

The series of events consists of the Campus Ambassador workshop as the first; later, there will be training for campus activists to be given literacy and socialization in the campus area. The plan is to have fifteen campuses, and each campus will send two representatives. On the second day, a national seminar will be held at the USU Auditorium. This hybrid media activity will be held from 9 AM-12 AM. Then, a public lecture at UIN Sumatera Utara will be at 1 p.m.
