In 2023, BPS plans to conduct a national survey in agriculture; this is related to the issue of food and energy security and its derivative issues that can have an impact on purchasing power, poverty, and others. From June 1 to July 31, the plan is that BPS North Sumatra will recruit people from 33 districts/cities for the program they will run. The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Muryanto Amin, provided input on matters that can be cooperated with the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatera Province.
