Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnership USU Conducts Monev Cooperation to Various Work Units in the USU Environment

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), a superior educational institution with human resources from various disciplines and adequate supporting facilities, continues to show its commitment to implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education. This commitment is realized through various collaborations with other institutions to contribute to nation-building.

To ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the cooperation that has been established, the Cooperation Monitoring and Evaluation Team from the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships of the Universitas Sumatera Utara visited various work units and units within USU from May 20 to May 30, 2024.

The Vice Rector III of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt conducted the opening ceremony. In her speech, Prof. Dr. Poppy conveyed the importance of monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure that every collaboration that has been established provides optimal benefits for all parties involved. “We hope this activity can provide solutions and constructive input for the parties involved, both from USU and cooperation partners,” she said.

The Monitoring and Evaluation team was led by Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., the USU Global Partnership Manager. Dr. Arida explained that this visit aims to assess the implementation of cooperation throughout 2023 and identify areas for improvement. “We strive to see firsthand the implementation of cooperation in the field to provide appropriate and constructive feedback for the development of future cooperation,” said Dr. Arida.

During the visit, the team evaluated various aspects of cooperation, including academic, research, and community service activities. The monitoring and evaluation results will be used to develop recommendations and strategies for improving cooperation, which will be submitted to USU leaders and cooperation partners.

This activity is expected to strengthen the relationship between USU and cooperation partners and ensure that every cooperation is in line with the vision and mission of the Universitas Sumatera Utara. Thus, USU can continue to contribute to nation-building through education, research, and community service.

With this monitoring and evaluation activity, the Universitas Sumatera Utara hopes to continue improving the quality and effectiveness of cooperation with USU partners and providing maximum benefits for the development of the nation and state.
