Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a follow-up meeting on the cooperation plan with PT Agro Sindo International on Friday (27/09/2024) at the USU Business Management Agency Building. This meeting discussed the potential for developing cooperation in animal husbandry, agriculture, and social activities, including collaboration plans for qurban activities in 2025.

The meeting began with introductions from both parties. The CEO of PT Agrosindo International, Rafee Eunos, expressed his hope that this cooperation could be realized soon. "We hope that the completion of this cooperation document can be accelerated, considering the collaboration plan for qurban activities in 2025," said Rafee.

From the USU side, the Global Partnership Manager, Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., explained that they would review the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) after the meeting. "We will review the draft after today's discussion. Furthermore, we will submit the document to the Directorate of Law and Corporation (Dithukor) for further review," explained Dr. Arida.

Dr. Arida also emphasized that signing will occur after all parties agree on the document's contents. "After all parties agree with the agreement's contents, the signing process will be carried out, either through desk-to-desk or ceremonies," she added.

In addition to discussing the cooperation document, the meeting also raised the issue of development in the Kwala Bekala area. "We will mediate all problems related to the community in terms of development together," said Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS, Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture.

USU internal parties plan to hold a follow-up meeting next week to discuss the timeline for completing the cooperation document. The cooperation between USU and PT Agrosindo International will be realized soon and will bring positive benefits to both parties and the surrounding community.
