Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), in collaboration with Populix, held a socialization on Thursday (17/10/2024) related to using the Poplite digital platform as a research support tool. The event was held online through Zoom Meeting and attended by various USU academicians, including lecturers and researchers.

The socialization event, which started at 9:30 AM, raised the theme "Transforming Research: Digital Data Collection with Populix." Populix explained the main differences between traditional and digital data collection methods on this occasion. Polite, part of the Populix ecosystem, allows researchers to collect data quickly and efficiently with real-time results through electronic devices, such as online surveys and mobile applications.

In the presentation, Seniti Prawira from Populix explained that one of the advantages of Poplite is the diverse criteria of respondents and the speed of data collection, where primary results can be obtained within 2-3 days. This provides a significant advantage over traditional methods that require more time and money. The platform also has a Popscore system to ensure optimal respondent quality.

Through the use of this platform, researchers at USU are expected to increase the efficiency of data collection for various research needs. USU's Vice Rector for Research, Prof. Dr. apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si, also attended this useful socialization event. Prof. Poppy hopes this collaboration can continue growing and facilitate more quality research at USU.

Representatives from various faculties and study programs at USU attended the socialization event and enthusiastically discussed the potential use of Poplite in their research. With the support of technology such as Poplite, research at USU is expected to be more competitive, efficient, and relevant to the development of digitalization in the academic world.
