The HEAD Foundation Visit: Strengthening USU's International Cooperation

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from The HEAD Foundation, an organization that focuses on research and development in education, on Tuesday (05/03/2024). The event occurred in the Academic Senate Meeting Room of the USU Rectorate Building, 3rd floor, chaired by Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc, USU Vice Rector IV for Information, Planning and Development.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) received a visit from The HEAD Foundation, an organization that focuses on research and development in education, on Tuesday (05/03/2024). The event took place in the Academic Senate Meeting Room of the USU Rectorate Building 3rd Floor, chaired by Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc, Vice Rector IV for Information, Planning and Development of USU.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc., warmly welcomed the guests from The HEAD Foundation and highlighted the importance of international cooperation in improving the quality of education. "This visit is an important step in expanding the global cooperation network in education," he said.

The event continued with a profile presentation of The HEAD Foundation by Mr. C.D. and Mr. Liang, who gave a comprehensive overview of the organization's goals and work. In addition, Arif Nuryawan S.Hut., M.Si., PPh.D., as Secretary of the USU Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, also presented the university profile to the guests, highlighting USU's achievements and excellent programs.

One of the historic moments was the exchange of plaques as a symbol of cooperation between USU and The HEAD Foundation. Ulos traditional clothing was also given and worn as a form of respect from USU to the guests. "We appreciate this cooperation and hope to continue strengthening the relationship between the two parties," said Arif Nuryawan.

In addition, Dr Inke Nadia Diniyanti Lubis M.Ked (Ped)., Sp. A PhD Vice Dean of the USU Faculty of Medicine also explained the cooperation established between the faculty and institutions in Singapore as a real example of cross-country collaboration in medical education.

Thus, the HEAD Foundation's visit to USU will expand the cooperation network and strengthen the university's commitment to improving the quality of education through international collaboration. This step is expected to have a broad positive impact on the advancement of education in Indonesia.
