The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between PT Jasa Raharja and USU

PT Jasa Raharja and Universitas Sumatera Utara signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the USU Rector's Conference Room. The signing ceremony from PT Jasa Raharja was represented by the President Director of Jasa Raharja, Munadi Herlambang, Head of Institutional Relations Radito Risangadi, and the Branch Manager of PT Jasa Raharja North Sumatra Region, Tamrin S.H. From the USU side, and it was represented by USU Rector, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., and Vice Rector III of USU, Prof. Poppy A.Z. Hasibuan, M.Si.

PT Jasa Raharja is a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) in the social insurance field regulated by law and has a Sharia concept. The selection of USU as a target was motivated by the low level of traffic safety in North Sumatra, both private and public.

 

 

Many collaborations will be planned by both parties, such as internships, global competitions, scholarships, and MBKM (Competency-Based Courses), and students can conduct field research and socialize with PT Jasa Raharja and have a new event called "BUMN Goes to Campus". The main agenda of this event is a Hackathon, Autonomous competition, and virtual risk competition with Amazon, where the participants are students.
