The agreement focuses on environmental issues, as explained by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Fahmi S.T., M.Sc., IPM. Earthwise Consulting Japan will provide a tool called "pyrolysis" that can be used to manage waste on campus. Waste management with pyrolysis is also planned to be applied in Medan City in coordination with the Medan City Government.
According to the representative of the Director of Earthwise Consulting Japan, Mr. Yudai Tadaki, BSc, USU faculty members and students have great interest and enthusiasm in waste management. He considered that Medan has good potential in terms of waste management and looks forward to further collaboration in the future.
