Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an audience with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) on Tuesday (27/02/2024). The meeting was held in the Academic Senate Meeting Room, USU Rectorate Building 2nd Floor at 15.00 WIB and was chaired by Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, Vice Rector III of USU.

The hearing was attended by various parties, including Surya Darma (Head of the USU Bureau of Finance), Dr. Arida Susilowati (USU DIKG Manager), Poppi Erina Br. Siregar (Head of the USU Business Fund Subdivision), and Dr. Fadli SE., M.Si. (Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business) Paidi SE., M.Si. and (Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Economics and Business).

From the LPS side, Danu Febrianto (Executive Director of LPS Finance), Muhammad Yusron (Head of LPS Representative Office 1), and Pramuji Novri H (Division Head of LPS Representative Office 1) and their staff were present.

In this hearing, both parties discussed steps to strengthen the cooperation that has been built through the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). They hope to produce more MoA documents in the future.

One of the important points discussed was the possibility of cooperation between the USU Faculty of Law and LPS in banking and legal matters. Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa expressed her hope that LPS can cooperate with other USU faculties, not limited to the Faculty of Economics and Business.

There was also a discussion about opportunities for broader cooperation through the USU partner line MBKM Internship program. USU students can teach at LPS through this program and provide knowledge and education to the community, especially in remote areas.

Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa welcomed the hearing results: "We hope that cooperation with LPS can provide wider benefits for the development of education and contribution to society. We are committed to continuing to establish cooperation that benefits both parties."
