In the meeting, PT Pos Indonesia proposed several collaboration programs aimed at facilitating USU students and alumni in managing academic documents. PT Pos Indonesia also explored cooperation in courier and logistics services to support various document and goods delivery needs to and from USU. One of the main programs proposed is the delivery service for diploma legalization for students outside the city. With this service, students no longer need to come directly to the campus to collect their documents, as PT Pos Indonesia is ready to deliver them throughout Indonesia with a Cash on Delivery (COD) payment system.
"To ensure the effectiveness of this program, there will be a socialization effort for students and alumni regarding the diploma legalization service, which will be fully system-based," stated Fediyan Syahputra, Executive Vice President Regional 1 Pos Indonesia Sumatera.
Additionally, PT Pos Indonesia offered special stamps for graduating students as mementos and part of their valuable academic journey. In this regard, PT Pos Indonesia presented examples of stamps that have been printed and specially made for the Rector of USU and Vice Rector III of USU.
The meeting also discussed internship programs for USU students at PT Pos Indonesia. The Director of the Directorate of Educational Development, Ir. Ikhsan Siregar, S.T., M.Eng., expressed his hope that interns would be assigned tasks relevant to their fields, allowing them to truly apply their knowledge according to their majors. He added, "We want to ensure that students interning at PT Pos Indonesia gain experience relevant to their field of study. Thus, this internship program can be recognized with a weight of 20 credits appropriately," he stated.
Moving forward, both parties plan to draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as an initial step in realizing this collaboration. With this initiative, it is hoped that USU students and alumni will find it easier to manage academic documents and benefit from the strategic partnership between USU and PT Pos Indonesia.
