Dr. Saraf, the Scientific Advisor and Representative of the Iranian Ministry of Higher Education in Southeast Asia, was one of the main speakers. Additionally, representatives from various universities in Iran were present, including Bu Ali Sina University, Hakim Sabzevari University, Mazandaran University, Azan University of Isfahan, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Islamic Azad University, Sharif University of Technology, University of Isfahan, Shiraz University, Shahid Beheshti University, and Amirkabir University of Technology.
During the meeting, Dr. Saraf emphasized the importance of collaboration between USU and universities in Iran. Several topics were discussed, including double degree programs, faculty exchange, joint research, and other initiatives expected to benefit both parties. Dr. Saraf also highlighted the great potential for student exchange and joint research, inviting USU students to participate in programs such as Summer School, Winter School, and Spring School in Iran.
Representing USU, Arif Nuryawan, S.Hum., M.Si., Ph.D., offered various collaboration programs, including internationalization activities by inviting professors from Iran as guest lecturers, organizing international conferences, and providing international mobility programs for USU staff and students. In addition, USU also offered scholarships for students interested in continuing their studies at universities in Iran and explored collaboration between USU's vocational faculties and polytechnics in Iran.
The meeting concluded by recognizing significant opportunities for developing closer cooperation between USU and universities in Iran in areas such as education, research, and international mobility programs.
