USU and Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka Sign MoU for Higher Education Revitalization

The Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) established cooperation with Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka (USN Kolaka) in the framework of the Revitalization Program of State Universities (PR PTN). The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place on February 22, 2024, in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) collaborated with Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka (USN Kolaka) in the framework of the State University Revitalization Program (PR PTN). The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place on February 22, 2024, in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.

The event was also a momentum for USU to hold a workshop for lecturers at USN Kolaka with the theme "Development of Accreditation Instruments for Universities and Study Programs", which aims to improve the quality and quality of education at USN Kolaka.

Also attending the signing of the MoU between USU and USN Kolaka were Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si, Rector of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt as Vice Rector III of USU, Dr. dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc., CMFM, M.Pd, Ked as Head of the USU Quality Assurance Agency, Prof. Dr. Drs. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si as Manager of the National Accreditation Division of the USU Quality Assurance Agency, Ikhsan Siregar, ST., M.Eng. as Head of the USU Priority Program Evaluation Agency, and Sity Ayu Novarina Suyanto, S.Kom as USU Rector Secretariat.

The signing of this MoU marks the commitment of the two institutions to support each other to improve the quality of higher education in Indonesia, especially in the context of revitalizing state universities. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that a positive synergy will be created between USU and USN Kolaka in curriculum development, improving the quality of teaching staff, as well as research and community service.

Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin expressed his hope that this collaboration would positively impact both institutions and contribute to the advancement of higher education in Indonesia. "We hope this collaboration will be a milestone for realising a superior and globally competitive university," he said.

Furthermore, both parties will formulate a joint work plan based on the signed MoU, focusing on implementing the State University Revitalization Program and improving the accreditation of their study programs.

With this cooperation, it is hoped that USU and USN Kolaka can jointly contribute to the development of quality and competitive higher education, so as to produce graduates who are ready to compete at the national and international levels.
