USU and YPP Jihadul Ilmi Officially Establish Collaboration Through MoU Signing

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and the Jihadul Ilmi Foundation for Development and Education have officially entered into a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the Equity Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The MoU was signed by the Director of the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., and the Chair of the Jihadul Ilmi Foundation, Dra. Hj. Nurul Izzah Djamal, M.M
In his remarks, Prof. Dr. H. Lahmuddin Lubis, M.Ed., the Foundation's Advisor, expressed interest in working with USU to provide guidance and preparatory support for students aspiring to enroll there.
"USU is a highly sought-after university and a source of pride for our students. Therefore, we hope the Foundation can receive guidance on the right strategies and necessary preparations for our students from both Islamic and general senior high schools," he said.
Prof. Himsar Ambarita also welcomed the partnership and hoped it would strengthen USU's commitment to becoming an Impactful University pursuing Golden Indonesia 2045. "One of USU's efforts to become an impactful university is supporting high school students in pursuing higher education. We are committed to leading initiatives that support this goal," he stated.
Through this MoU, USU is expected to successfully realize its vision of becoming an Impactful University and to support students from Al Ulum High School in developing strategies to enter higher education, opening the way for the younger generation to achieve a brighter future.
