Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., explained that cooperation with Babson College, which focuses on entrepreneurship and business, will help improve USU's international reputation. Prof. Muryanto hopes that the visit to Babson College will provide an extraordinary experience for USU and help it become known globally.
During the visit to Babson College, USU was received by the Dean of Babson Academy and Global Education, Amir Reza, as well as the Director of The Babson Collaborative, Jamie Kendrioski, and the Director of University Relations Babson Academy, Jean Ann Schulte. The Dean of Babson Academy and Global Education, Amir Reza, welcomed the collaboration with USU and hoped this partnership would improve the quality of education at both universities.
Several activities have been scheduled during the visit to Babson College, including discussions on developing an entrepreneurial university ecosystem, campus tours, and signing the "Babson Collaborative Agreement and Babson Pathway Agreement" between Babson College and Universitas Sumatera Utara. Prof. Muryanto explained that USU is developing the "entrepreneurial university" concept by combining learning, research, and innovation programs to increase the entrepreneurial spirit among students and lecturers and integrate innovation with the industrial world.
Before visiting Babson College, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin also made a working visit to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) to establish cooperation. Through partnerships with these two renowned universities, USU realizes its commitment to carrying out the Campus Internationalization program, which is one of the agendas under the five-year leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin.
