USU Discusses Strategies to Enhance Collaboration as PTN-BH in 2024 with Diktiristek

The Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships (DIKG) at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Pre-Socialization and Best Practices Event for Enhancing Collaboration Strategies as PTN-BH in 2024 on Monday (July 29, 2024). The event occurred in the TTU Meeting Room at the USU Rectorate Building, starting at 10:00 AM and continuing until the afternoon. It featured speakers from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Diktiristek) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, namely Firman Hidayat, S.S., M.Si., Sub-Coordinator of the Cooperation Division, and Dinna Handini, S.Sos., M.Ikom, a Young Public Relations Practitioner at Setditjen Diktiristek.
The event was also attended by USU's Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., who stated, "This activity is essential as a platform to revisit strategies and best practices for enhancing collaboration, especially within Universitas Sumatera Utara as a state university with legal entity status (PTN-BH)."
Firman Hidayat, S.S., M.Si., delivered a presentation on the importance of collaboration in improving the quality of education and research in PTN-BH institutions. He explained that partnerships between universities, industries, and the government could strengthen global competitiveness and the relevance of higher education.
Dinna Handini, S. Sos., M.Ikom, discussed the upcoming 2024 Diktiristek Collaboration Awards, emphasizing its purpose to recognize universities that have successfully established impactful partnerships.
"This award aims to appreciate universities that have forged strategic collaborations with positive impacts on education, research, and community service," said Dinna.
She elaborated on the awards' benefits, competition categories, eligibility criteria, rules, competition stages, assessment criteria, and implementation timeline for the 2024 Diktiristek Collaboration Awards.
The event was attended by various USU officials and staff, including Arif Nuryawan, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., Lui Ribka Hutahayan, Nurul Pratiwi, and Rizky Khapidsyah. Discussions focused on strategies to enhance collaboration at USU alongside the sharing of experiences and best practices.
This event will provide new insights for USU to strengthen partnerships with various stakeholders and prepare for participation in the 2024 Diktiristek Collaboration Awards. In doing so, USU aims to continuously improve the quality of its education, research, and community service, further solidifying its position as one of the leading PTN-BH institutions in Indonesia.
