USU Holds Audience with UiTM Terengganu Malaysia to Discuss Student Exchange and International Rankings

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an audience with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Terengganu, Malaysia, on Wednesday (09/10/2024) at the Equity Meeting Room, USU Rectorate Building. The Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, and Cooperation of USU warmly welcomed the meeting, Prof. Dr. Apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si.
During the hearing, the two institutions discussed various opportunities for cooperation, including a student exchange program for students from both universities. This program is expected to strengthen academic relations and provide students with international experience.
The discussion also included potential collaboration in the Erasmus+ program, which is one of the European Union's initiatives to support the exchange of students, teachers, and research projects among higher education institutions around the world.
Furthermore, the discussion on QS and THE Rankings was also one of the main topics. The two institutions discussed joint strategies to improve their rankings in the QS World University Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings, which have become one of the main benchmarks of global reputation in higher education.
This audience is expected to be a positive first step in strengthening international cooperation between USU and UiTM Terengganu while encouraging both universities to continue to develop and achieve global standards.
