The meeting discussed initiating collaboration between USU and the Turkish Embassy in various fields. USU Rector Prof. Muryanto Amin proposed several cooperation opportunities, including a Summer Course program for Turkish students who would have the chance to take a short two-week course at USU. In addition to academic activities, students would also be invited to participate in extracurricular activities, such as outbound trips to tourism destinations in North Sumatra.

In addition to the Summer Camp program, USU offered collaboration through student exchanges, staff exchanges, and internships. The Turkish Embassy enthusiastically welcomed these proposals. Prof. Dr. Talip Kucukcan, the Turkish Ambassador, expressed the desire to establish a long-term partnership with USU, particularly in the areas of research collaboration and scholarships for USU students who wish to study in Turkey. They also plan to establish a Turkey Corner at USU as a center for Turkish cultural information.

"The scholarship and Turkey Corner collaboration plans are inspiring. We may need to discuss these further to sign the MoU and realize them by 2025," said Prof. Muryanto.

Dr. H. Rahmat Shah, the Honorary Consul of Turkey, also played an important role in initiating this collaboration. He acted as an intermediary between the USU and the Turkish Embassy and hoped that this collaboration would be formalized by signing an MoU. "I hope this MoU can be signed soon, and the various collaborations we've planned can be realized," he said.

The Turkish Ambassador added that they target signing the MoU with USU within the next two months. "We truly hope this collaboration will materialize soon and USU will become an important partner for us in North Sumatra," said Prof. Talip Kucukcan.

The meeting ended with an agreement to continue communication and expedite the MoU signing process to realize this collaboration.
