The meeting opened with a discussion of new strategies to improve USU's ranking in the QS World University Rankings (WUR), where USU is currently in position 901 for academic reputation worldwide. Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., MT as Director of the USU Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships, emphasized the importance of increasing the number of respondents supporting USU for next year to improve the ranking.
USU's total Academic Reputation (AR) is 1605, and Employer Reputation (ER) is 1812. To achieve these targets, at least 400 respondents willing to support USU are needed, and each IMS participant is expected to contact at least two potential respondents.
During the meeting, a number of obstacles hindering the optimization of SL and IMS activities were also discussed. Prof. Himsar announced that after this meeting, he would send out a Google Form to collect reports from participants and follow up with emails.
The meeting participants submitted several recommendations and suggestions, such as the importance of IMS participants having a USU profile to introduce the university in the destination country, difficulties in requesting a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at Asian UNINET, constraints on lodging facilities, and requests to extend the Sabbatical Leave period for more than three months. Prof. Himsar explained that the extension of the Sabbatical Leave period must be made according to the proposal based on the ministry's rules.

In his closing sentence, Prof. Himsar emphasized that DIKG was ready to receive and take care of the follow-up of the participants. In her closing sentence, Prof. Poppy stated, "Through this meeting, it is hoped that we can streamline the SL and IMS budgets and foster good relations with partners so that they choose USU. You can talk to us if you need a USU profile or anything else. If there are things you want to discuss further, you can contact me, Prof. Himsar, or others."
With this meeting, USU is expected to increase the effectiveness of the Sabbatical Leave and International Mobility Staff programs and strengthen the university's academic reputation internationally.
