Several faculty leaders also attended the meeting, including the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. This audience aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation between USU and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison in various fields, including digital technology and environment-based programs. One of the main focuses discussed was the Collaboration Campus program, an initiative from Indosat to support the Tridharma activities of universities through seminars, public lectures, and student community collaboration on campus. This program supports students' creative development and provides opportunities for students to become IM3 brand ambassadors, participate in social media content, and create events in the campus environment.
In addition, Indosat also introduced the INSPIRE program, an internship program for final-year students and recent graduates. The program gives them the opportunity to be directly involved in innovative projects in the digital field with Indosat. The program aims to equip the younger generation with relevant skills in the digital industry.
During the meeting, sustainability initiatives, such as the 'Sampah Jadi Pulsa' program, which encourages sorting waste and exchanging it for IM3 credit, were discussed. This program supports digital-based waste management, contributes to environmental sustainability, and directly impacts the community.
Mahfudh Marzuki, CSR Environment and Philanthropy of Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison explained, "The Sampah Jadi Pulsa program is our effort to encourage public awareness in waste segregation. By exchanging plastic waste for IM3 credit, we hope that people, especially students, can be more involved in protecting the environment while utilizing digital technology for their daily needs."
Prof. Poppy expressed her appreciation for this initiative and hoped this collaboration could benefit students and the wider community. "We are very enthusiastic about the initiative proposed by Indosat. This collaboration will provide opportunities for students to develop digital skills and contribute to environmental sustainability," she said.
Both parties agreed to continue in-depth discussions regarding various cooperation opportunities, including 5G technology, industrial internships, and digital-based waste management. USU hopes this cooperation can strengthen the university's role in developing young talents ready to contribute in the digital era.
