USU Discusses Strategy for Increasing Cooperation at PTN-BH in 2024 with Diktiristek

The Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships (DIKG) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Pre-Socialization and Best Practices Strategy for Increasing Cooperation at PTN-BH in 2024 on Monday (29/07/2024) in the TTU Meeting Room of the USU Rectorate Building. This event took place from 10.00 WIB until completion, presenting speakers from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Diktiristek) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, namely Firman Hidayat, S.S., M.Si., as Sub Coordinator for Cooperation at the Directorate General of Diktiristek and Dinna Handini, S.Sos., M.Ikom, as Junior Public Relations Officer at the Directorate General of Diktiristek.

This activity was also attended by the Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service, and USU Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt. Prof. Poppy said, "This activity is important to review strategies and best practices in increasing cooperation in state universities with legal entities (PTN-BH), especially at the Universitas Sumatera Utara."

 

Firman Hidayat, S.S., M.Sc., Sub Coordinator for Cooperation of the Directorate General of Higher Education, presented the importance of cooperation in improving the quality of education and research at PTN-BH. He explained that collaboration between universities, industry, and government can improve global competitiveness and the relevance of higher education.

Dinna Handini, S. Sos., M.Ikom, Junior Public Relations Officer of Setditjen Diktiristek, delivered information regarding the Diktiristek Cooperation Award 2024. She explained that this award aims to show appreciation to universities that have successfully established cooperation that has a positive impact.

"This award aims to appreciate universities that have successfully established strategic cooperation that positively impacts education, research, and community service," said Dinna.

 

Dinna Handini also outlined the benefits of the 2024 Dictiristek Cooperation Award, the categories of competitions that will be contested, the categories of participants who can participate, the competition requirements that must be met, the stages of the competition that will be passed, the award criteria and assessments that will be used in the selection process, and the schedule for the implementation of the 2024 Dictiristek Cooperation Award.

This event's participants included various USU officials and staff, including Arif Nuryawan, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D., Dr. Arida Susilowati S.Hut., M.Si., Lui Ribka Hutahayan, Nurul Pratiwi, and Rizky Khapidsyah. During this activity, discussions were also held regarding strategies for increasing cooperation that can be applied at USU, as well as sharing experiences and best practices.

 

This activity is expected to provide new insights for USU in improving cooperation with various parties and preparing to participate in the 2024 Diktiristek Cooperation Award. Thus, USU can continue to improve the quality of education, research, and community service and strengthen its position as one of the best Legalized State Universities in Indonesia.
