USU Initiates Collaboration with Jayadi Global Education Center and Ace Global Service for Alumni Career Opportunities in Japan

Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) initiated cooperation with Jayadi Global Education Center (JGEC) and Ace Global Service Co., Ltd (AGS) to open career opportunities for USU alumni in Japan. The meeting was held on Tuesday (20/08/2024) in the Toward the Ultimate room, USU Rectorate Building, and was chaired by USU Vice Rector I, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, S.H., M.A..

The event was also attended by several important figures, including former Indonesian Deputy Ambassador to the Netherlands, Freddy Panggabean, AGS Director Windi Aryanto, JGEC Director Ugahary Riffung, USU Vice Rector III Prof. Dr. Apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si., Director of the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, ST, MT, and Director of the Directorate of Student Achievement and Alumni Relations Rahma Yurliani, S.Psi, M.Psi.

 

Freddy Panggabean, the former Indonesian Deputy Ambassador to the Netherlands and USU alumnus, introduced USU to JGEC and AGS. This meeting discussed the Specified Skilled Worker (residence permit for foreign nationals in Japan). JGEC and AGS offer training programs that include Japanese language learning and specific skills according to participants' interests. The program will take place at USU for about 4.5 months for IDR 12,500,000.

 

 

"This cooperation is important to us, and we hope to open up opportunities for USU alumni and final-year students to pursue a career in Japan, as well as increase their competitiveness in the international job market," said Dr Edy Ikhsan. 

 

Windi Aryanto, Director of AGS, also supported providing opportunities for USU alumni to pursue careers in Japan. "We are ready to support USU alumni and students to achieve career opportunities in Japan through the training we offer. We will also provide information and recommendations for relevant job vacancies after they complete this program."

 

The program is expected to improve skills and expand international career opportunities for USU graduates. Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita said, "Hopefully, this collaboration will become a bridge for USU students and alumni to succeed in the global arena, especially in Japan."
