In this event, in addition to the Rector and the Mayor, also attended USU Vice Rector 3, Prof. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M.Si., Dean of FISIP USU, Dr. Hatta Ridho, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of the Bureau of Research, PKM and Cooperation, Surya Darma, S.Sos., and Head of Cooperation, Cut Hayatun Wardani, S.Sos. From the Pematang Siantar City Government, the Mayor was accompanied by seven other staff.
The Pematang Siantar City Government trusts USU as an agent of welfare development in Pematang Siantar City. Therefore, the cooperation between the two parties will continue to focus on the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education, Research, and Community Service.
In his remarks, the USU Rector explained that many things can be obtained from this collaboration, including the Teaching Campus for USU students in the field of education. In addition, there are opportunities for Pematang Siantar City staff to continue their education. In the field of research, USU can conduct research, provide recommendations for problem-solving and formulate policies needed by Pemko Pematang Siantar. In the field of community service, innovations that are useful and needed by the community or community will be produced.
