Supporting the SDGs, USU Holds GreenPreneurship ToT in Collaboration with the Academy of Entrepreneurs
The University of Sumatera Utara (USU), in collaboration with the Academy of Entrepreneurs, officially launched its first Training of Trainers (ToT) GreenPreneurship program on Friday, September 19, 2025. This training program will take place from September to October, consisting of five online sessions conducted via Google Meet.

The Director of the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnerships of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Eng. Himsar Ambarita, S.T., M.T., welcomed the delegation from Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Thailand, on Wednesday (September 17, 2025) at the Equity Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of the USU Rectorate Building. The meeting was held to discuss plans for collaboration between USU and PSU in the fields of research and development.

USU and PORDASI North Sumatra Sign MoU to Develop Equestrian Sports in the Province

USU Strengthens Laboratory Service System through Technical Coordination Meetings with Faculties
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through the Directorate of Internationalization and Global Partnership (DIKG), held a series of technical coordination meetings to enhance laboratory service management in collaboration with its faculties. The first meeting took place on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) with the Faculty of Agriculture, followed by the second meeting on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) with the Faculty of Pharmacy. Both meetings were held in the EQUITY Meeting Room, 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building, and were chaired by USU’s Vice-Rector for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.

USU and North Sumatra DPRD Sign MoU to Strengthen Synergy in Education, Research, and Public Policy

USU Establishes Partnership with Aliyah Rizq Holdings to Promote Sustainable Agroindustry
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aliyah Rizq Holdings Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Soeratman Hall, Faculty of Agriculture, USU. The signing coincided with the Faculty of Agriculture Summer Course 2025, themed “Towards Resilience and Sustainable Tropical Livestock Systems With Precision Technologies and Global Connectivity.”
