Students of the Introduction to Translation Studies class will have the opportunity to join a variety of learning and training programs guided directly by lecturers who are experts in their respective fields, with an international standard curriculum. This Introduction to Translation Studies class aims to introduce students to the science of translation.
The course explains translation and the translation process, the concept of language in translation and how it affects the process and product of translation, the stages or progress in translation, and translation methods or strategies. Students will also learn about translation techniques and problems encountered in the translation process.
The Introduction to Translation Studies class has been specifically designed to meet the needs of new students at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU).
