Soil Physics

Students of the Soil Physics class will have the opportunity to join a variety of learning and training programs guided directly by lecturers who are experts in their respective fields, with an international standard curriculum. This Soil Physics class aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the physical properties of soil and their impact on agricultural productivity through the basic concepts of soil physics.

About Course

The course focuses on the basic concepts of soil physics, such as soil texture, soil structure, and their relationship to plants' uptake of water and nutrients. Students will be provided with a solid knowledge of how soil's physical properties affect plant growth processes, water movement, and heat transfer within the soil. As such, they will be able to apply this knowledge in the context of agriculture and natural resource management.

This Soil Physics class has been specifically designed to meet the needs of new Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) students. Students from Universities that partner with USU can easily access Soil Physics learning at one of Indonesia's international universities.
