Pulp And Paper

Students of the Pulp and Paper Technology class will have the opportunity to join various learning and training programs guided directly by lecturers who are experts in their respective fields, with an international standard curriculum. The Pulp and Paper Technology class aims to teach students an in-depth understanding of the technology, stages, and processes in pulp and paper manufacturing, from raw materials to new products.

About Course

This course introduces knowledge about pulp and paper technology, raw materials for the pulp and paper industry, pulpwood, pulping processes, and pulp molding equipment. In this class, students will be taught about pulp and its manufacturing process, types of wood, wood composition and characteristics, wood processing procedures from logging to cutting, and types of equipment used in pulp molding.

This Pulp and Paper technology class has been specifically designed to meet the needs of new Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) students. Students from Universities that partner with USU can easily access Pulp and Paper technology learning at one of Indonesia's international universities.
